You are in for a treat when you stay at Little Mermaid. When you first arrive you will notice views of the sound can be seen across the entire back of the house. I've noticed my soul feeling at peace while I'm there. I enjoy seeing the water slowly moving with the current, creating a calming and picturesque atmosphere. When you go out to the back of the house it is calm and quiet and the large and expansive back deck is nice to hang out with friends and relax.
Whether it is nice out or you have bad weather, you can utilize the hot tub that is under the covered portion of the house, to soak and spend time taking in the views. The hot tub is clean, gets nice and hot and has jets to massage your body while you are soaking.
Walking down the long private dock is so fun because you are never sure what you may see from oysters to beautiful birds. Watching the sunset from the end of the dock is amazing and the seeing the beautiful colors as the back drop behind the bridge is phenomenal. Bring a glass of wine and take a moment to take it all in and be present.
The home is nicely appointed and you are able to cook in the kitchen without having to worry about not having an item you may need to do so. There is a washer and dryer as well as bunk beds so the kiddos can enjoy their own space on your holiday.
I loved the fact we could jump on the golf cart provided at the house and tour around the beautiful neighborhood as well as go across the street to the private parking lot that offers private beach access. Downstairs in the garage is a fun little game room with a nostalgic old school arcade gaming system that offers 60 games.
Bring your friends, family and loved ones and come check out Little Mermaid for your holiday! It was such a lovely experience!
Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway

Our stay at Little Mermaid was absolutely wonderful, even with the weather being less than ideal for long beach days this time of year. Honestly, the hot tub more than made up for it — we spent plenty of time soaking, relaxing, and laughing together while enjoying the peaceful soundfront views.
The house itself was perfect for our girls' weekend. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, we had more than enough space to spread out and feel comfortable. We loved having access to the private boat dock, game room, elevator, and the pet‑friendly setup was a huge plus. The complimentary golf cart made quick trips to the beach easy, and the community pool and private beach access were great options when the weather cooperated.
Even with cooler temps, we made the most of our time — we walked a few miles around the area, enjoyed delicious local cuisine, and even found some nighttime music to cap off our evenings. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and fun.
Whether you're boating on the sound, unwinding in the hot tub, or exploring the island, Little Mermaid is the ideal coastal retreat. We had an amazing long weekend and would absolutely come back!
